A small group of games to pick from for the late slate for week 4 of daily college fantasy football Saturday 9/24. I think you’re going to want to find value at the other positions and stick with the big names. Adams Jr. has a great matchup against Utah, and if for some reason he can’t go – you’ll want to play the backup.
Late Game CFB – WR Picks
Late Game CFB – RB Picks
Here are the games to chose from.
Arkansas State @ Toledo (-7.5) 58.5 o/u
Texas A&M (-7) @ Arkansas 58 o/u
Vanderbilt @ Mississippi (-25.5) 54 o/u
Missouri @ Kentucky (-3) 45 o/u
Mississippi St @ Auburn (-2.5) 59 o/u
Ball State @ Northwestern (-19.5) 49 o/u
Hawaii @ Wisconsin (-24.5) 50.5 o/u
UCLA (-2.5) @ Arizona 65 o/u
Utah @ Oregon (-11) 64.5 o/u
Fresno State @ San Jose State (-4.5) 55.5 o/u
USC (-5.5) @ Arizona St 61 o/u
Vernon Adams Jr. – Oregon
If he’s playing he’s a go. Utah only has 3 sacks all season & teams have had success throwing against them. Even though there are some big names also playing, I think Adams is the only real ‘safe’ play of this group. The rest are going to be volatile.
Cody Kessler – USC
Teams have been running on ASU with more success than throwing, but Kessler is good enough to carve up a defense like this.
Chad Kelly – Ole Miss
Solid & steady player. Just hope they don’t have a letdown after last week.
Anu Solomon – Arizona
Fairly steady player, capable of 4+ TD’s. This isn’t a cupcake matchup, but one where you could use Solomon in spots.
Mike Bercovici – Arizona State
This guy is pretty good, and I think he does better at home. USC has given up 237 yards per game to QBs, but only 3 TDs so I’d use Bercovici with caution.
Kyle Allen – Texas A&M
He’s been solid this season so far, but against fairly weak teams. Arkansas has only 1 sack on the season and QBs have completed 70.5% of passes against them. Allen’s value is better on DK this week.
Josh Rosen – UCLA
The freshman has stunk it up quite a bit the last 2 games and the matchups weren’t all that hard. That makes him a gamblers special type selection this week that you can use sparingly because his usage rates will likely be low across the board. A 3+ TD upside guy and this is a fairly favorable matchup.
Sleeper CFB QB’s
Kendal Thompson – Utah
Not a very high-end type QB, and you need to make sure starter Travis Wilson is ruled out. Thompson is a cheap way to get exposure to the Oregon game, who’s pass defense is one of the worst in the country, mainly because teams have to pass on them all game. Just hope he can move the ball and not get pulled.
Clayton Thorson – Northwestern
Your upside isn’t too high here, but neither is the price you’re paying. Thorson is capable of getting you 2 TDs against a fairly poor Ball St. passing defense. Teams have averaged 291 yards and have a total of 7 TDs so far this year against Ball St.
