Only 6 QB’s as I write this … but I might expand my range in the next 24 hours. We’ll save money on WR/RB and I believe targeting a small range of QB’s should help you in cash games. CFB tournaments are more of a crap-shoot than NFL, or almost any other DFS game …. so you might want to reach outside the box a bit at QB, but think paying up for production could be a wise move.

My rankings won’t break any news or stuff you didn’t already know. I’m fading Iowa State @ Texas Tech and I hope that doesn’t work out against me. I don’t think Iowa State is capable of hanging with TT offensively – so I don’t see a shootout breaking out. Just a personal choice – and if I enter a ton of lineups, I’ll hedge this idea a bit.
Faces Kansas which is ranked 110th with 274 yards per game against them. More telling stats are the 70.5% completion percentage and hefty 9.3 yards per pass attempt. Maybe in an effort to make lineups easier to fill out, Russell’s price on DK is down from week 1 and he’s the 3rd ranked QB.
Brandon Doughty – Western Kentucky
Most expensive QB on the DK board, so you won’t be fooling anyone by playing him. Slightly above average matchup.
Matt Johnson – Bowling Green
He’s only thrown 1 TD in each game the last two weeks, but still managed 25+ on DK. The matchup isn’t as cupcake as he’s seen this year, but Massachusetts is capable of keeping with BG for a while in this game – so that means Johnson could get into the 40+ pass attempts … which is about all you can ask for.
Blake Frohnapfel – Massachusetts
Essentially average salary if you factor in the TE spot on Fanduel this week. He’s got a great spot to shine against Bowling Green. His weapons are not good enough to roll out across the board & wake up on Sunday to collect your money, but he should reach 40+ passing attempts.
Baker Mayfield – Oklahoma
Love this matchup against a Texas team solid QBs have done well against all season.
Brent Stockstill – Mid Tenn
Strictly a tournament QB for my tastes since his production varies quite a bit. But I could see a Stockstill, James, Batties stack being a fun sweat at the very least.
