Wow – lots of QB options for the late slate daily college fantasy football games! I think you can even look at Seth Collins, but I left him off the list because he’s somewhat inconsistent.
Florida State (-6) @ Georgia Tech 54 o/u
Texas A&M @ Mississippi (-6) 65 o/u
Western Kentucky @ LSU (-16) 65.5 o/u
Kentucky @ Mississippi St (-12) 59.5 o/u
Utah @ USC (-6.5) 58 o/u
Ohio State (-21) @ Rutgers 63 o/u
Wyoming @ Boise State (-35) 58 o/u
Colorado @ Oregon State PK 59.5 o/u
Washington @ Stanford (-16.5) 48 o/u
I don’t love this matchup against LSU, but I’m not scared of it as good QB’s have had success against LSU.
Brett Rypien – Boise State
Luke Falk didn’t tear up Wyoming earlier in the season, so we have to assume they are somewhat decent … but I think their pass defense stats are overrated because they’ve played some bad teams. On the season QB’s have completed 64.6% of passes. Wyoming has yielded only 10 TDs, but again – mostly against weaker teams. Wyoming only has 5 sacks on the season – which is the most telling stat. Rypien is a really good pocket passer – so I’m expecting him to be able to sit back and just complete passes all the way down the field. Maybe I’m missing something but I like Rypien in this spot and he’s not very expensive. I think he has 30+ point upside in this game and that whould be elite for a QB in this price range. The only real risk is a blowout might slow Rypien down in the second half.
Cody Kessler – USC
I think he’s an average cash game option this week since he’s not super expensive and I think he has a good shot at delivering some value at these prices, and he’s fairly consistent. The only risk is Utah isn’t terrible so I think Kessler’s upside is somewhat limited.
Kyle Allen – Texas A&M
Ole Miss’ defense is probably a tad bit overrated since they’ve gotten some press in the past for it. On the year they have given up 12 TDs but only have 4 INTs. I don’t love the matchup but Kyle Allen could pretty easily get you 20 – 24 fantasy points which would deliver nice value on Draftkings.
J.T. Barrett – Ohio State
I’m not sure I can trust an Ohio State QB in a ton of lineups yet, but Barrett is a great option this week. It appears he’s got the job 100% and he faces off against a poor Rutgers pass defense.
Brandon Harris – LSU
A good tournament option given the limited games to pick from. I think he’s got a great shot at delivering 3x value on Draftkings, which would make him a solid play as a #2 QB. This is a great matchup against a poor pass defense. Your only risk is Fournette explodes and leads little need to throw.
