Week 10 of the daily college fantasy football season yields TONS of good running matchups. This might be the deepest list in several weeks – I could have kept going on & on. I’ve tried to focus on the core group of guys that get it done – but I’ve slipped in some cheaper guys near the bottom that you can gamble on if you feel like it.
Nebraska – AMEER ABDULLAH
Really good matchup again against Purdue. Only real issue is you need to pay up big for his services.
Wisconsin – MELVIN GORDON
Much like Abdullah – solid matchp against Rutgers and the only issue is you have to pay up big for his services.
Miami – DUKE JOHNSON
He’s gotten RED HOT recently, and faces a UNC team that will have trouble containing him. Solid option this week.
USC – JAVORIUS ALLEN
Good matchup against Washington State and Allen has been running well.
Indiana – TEVIN COLEMAN
Seems to do well even against tough defenses on limited touches. Michigan is not bad, but Coleman is a great player.
Pittsburgh – JAMES CONNER
Only had 10 carries last game, in part because of a knee issue – but had 120 yards and 3 TD’s. Faces Duke this week, who isn’t very good against the run – so he’s good to go.
San Diego State – DONNEL PUMPHREY
This guy is a beast, the matchup is pretty good against Nevada.
Georgia – NICK CHUBB
Just make sure Sony Michel is still out, and while Florida isn’t horrible at stopping the run, they likely aren’t much of a match for Georgia’s strong run game.
Ohio State – EZEKIEL ELLIOTT
I really like this matchup against Illinois and Elliott has been running fairly well when the team gets him the ball 20+ times.
South Carolina – MIKE DAVIS
Had 6 receptions last game, and has been playing well the last few weeks after a slow start.
Wyoming – BRIAN HILL
SHHHHHHHHH – sleeper pick here. Starting RB D.J. May is out for the season, and it appears Hill is the guy after getting 21 carries for 121 yards and 2 TD’s last week. Faces a Fresno St team that isn’t strong against the run.
Utah – DEVONTAE BOOKER
The team likes to feed him the ball, and faces ASU who isn’t really strong against the run.
Mississippi State – JOSH ROBINSON
The team has been relying on him more, as he has 2 TD’s in each of the last 3 games. THe matchup isn’t A++ but it’s not horrible.
UAB – JORDAN HOWARD
Faces a rather weak Florida Atlantic run defense, and he’s has a really good season so far.
Vanderbilt – RALPH WEBB
Sleeper type pick here, but faces Old Dominion and they aren’t a good run defense so he has some upside over his normal ~15 carries 50-60 yard type day.
Colorado State – DEE HART
Good matchup against a poor San Jose State run-d. Only real issue is Treyous Jarrells is now getting carries – who could be used as a super cheap #2 RB.
Oklahoma – KEITH FORD & SAMAJE PERINE
This would be a lock if Ford was still hurt, but looks like he’s coming back this week. Faces Iowa St which isn’t a good run defense, so you could flip a coin here, but risky since they likely will share the load.
Tennessee – JALEN HURD
South Carolina isn’t super strong against the run, and this guy had 6 catches last week with the backup in (who looks like he’s starting again) – he’s about minimum price on the sites I see … so a nice option if you run out of money and need a cheap RB.
Penn State – AKEEL LYNCH
Their run game really sucks, but Maryland is not good against the run so something has to give. If you’re down to a minimum priced guy … he’s not a horrible option, Bill Belton is likely going to get carries too. Just don’t feature either in your lineups, just use one if you have no money left for 1 spot.
