Do I like CJ Prosise, if healthy, Elliott, Cook, even Aaron Green of TCU can be viable too right? I would say yes, for sure, but instead I think I’m going to focus on the group of RBs listed below. I’ve created some lineups and it’s somewhat difficult to fit a top 5 RB with the other positions I like, but again it’s up to your preference and style. My plan is to pay up for QB production, and WR in certain spots. None of these RBs are the most expensive of the slate, but if you pair 2 of them together it should chew up enough salary that you don’t have a ton left over. Personally I don’t see any real reason to spend all your budget on the top RB, so going more mid-tier should be a viable strategy. That being said, there’s enough talent across the board that you don’t really want to punt the position with sleepers.
Derrick Henry – Alabama
Leaped into the Heisman talk last week with 200+ yards and 3 TDs. Has been one of the most consistent RBs all season. Faces off an average Miss St run defense.
Sony Michel – Georgia
Has a broken hand but seems to be fine with it. Running against Auburn shouldn’t be too difficult and he’s not too expensive.
Elijah Hood – UNC
One of the better matchup of the slate. Miami’s pass defense can be good at times, but they struggle against the run. On the season Miami has given up 5.1 yards per carry and 192 yards per game. I think Hood is viable across all games this weekend.
Chris Swain – Navy
This is a great matchup against SMU who’s given up 5.8 yards per carry this season.
Demario Richard – ASU
Still reasonably priced that you don’t have to worry too much that this isn’t an ideal matchup.
Wayne Gallman – Syracuse
Seems like every time I’ve played this guy this seasone he’s delivered so I’m a tad bit biased. I like this matchup against Syracuse, a team that has given up 4.4 yards per carry and 163 yards per game this season.
Joseph Yearby – Miami
He’s not really a great play recently so I expect him to be low-owned, but I could see using him this week because the matchup is favorable against UNC who’s given up 4.9 yards per carry and 218 yards per game to runners.
