Here we go! Week 4 of the daily college fantasy football season is almost here. I’m really excited about this group of running back selections because I feel we have lots of value to chose from. There’s the high-end choices, and some of them have really nice matchups. After that, there’s some quality RB’s who are facing teams they should have a great chance to rip up for some good stats.
Early Saturday CFB – QB Plays
Early Saturday CFB – WR Plays
With the WR/QB plays, I focus on the high o/u games, but with the running backs, I really look for matchups since a good RB can put up a great stat line without having to score a bunch of TDs.
Bowling Green (-2.5) @ Purdue 75 o/u
BYU @ Michigan (-5.5) 44.5 o/u
Central Michigan @ Michigan State (-27) 54 o/u
Georgia Tech (-8.5) @ Duke 56 o/u
LSU (-24.5) @ Syracuse 46.5 o/u
Massachusetts @ Notre Dame (-29) 59 o/u
Indiana (-3.5) @ Wake Forest 56 o/u
NIU @ Boston College (-4.5) 47 o/u
Maryland @ West Virginia (-17) 57 o/u
Rice @ Baylor (-34.5) 74/5 o/u
Oklahoma St. (-3) @ Texas 61 o/u
Tennessee (-1) @ Florida 48 o/u
Virginia Tech (-8.5) @ East Carolina 54.5 o/u
Western Michigan @ Ohio State (-31.5) 61 o/u
Texas Christian (-7) @ Texas Tech 80.5 o/u
Cal (-4) @ Washington 61 o/u
Ezekiel Elliott – Ohio State
How will Ohio State get back on track this week?? I think it will be by running the ball. Western Michigan has given up a hefty 5.9 yards per carry, 10 total TDs and 224 yards per game this season, which should mean Elliott has another good week.
Leonard Fournette – LSU
I miss starting Fournette last season when he was a value play all season. Now he’s a Heisman trophy front runner. This is a terrible matchup against a strong Syracuse team, but I’ve said that before & Fournette got 3 TDs.
C.J. Prosise – Notre Dame
Love this matchup. Too bad Prosise isn’t vlaue priced anymore.
Jordan Howard – Indiana
This guy has Hoosier fans saying Tevin Who?? This guy is putting up Tevin Coleman numbers, he’s just staying out of the endzone enough to keep his price tag down a bit. I don’t love this matchup against Wake Forest, but it seems like coaches are trying to get Howard the ball 25+ times, which is somewhat rare these days in college football.
Aaron Green – TCU
I really want action in this high-scoring matchup and Green might be the exposure people look over. He’s coming off a really good week last week, but even better is he faces off against a Texas Tech team which has given up a whopping 5.7 yards per carry and 257.3 yards per game through 3 weeks!
Chris Carson – Oklahoma State
This is a really good matchup against Texas who have given up 4.8 yards per carry and 240.7 yards per game so far this season. Carson is the starter but does share carries a bit with a few other backs, however I think his price point + matchup make him a solid selection this weekend – especially on DK where he’s just slightly over average salary.
Jowan Davis – Rice
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh – I should really have a premium section of this website for guys like this because his usage rate would be near 0.0 if I don’t mention him. Still a very risky play because it’s not 100% clear he’s the guy, but he should get plenty of chances against a juicy Baylor defense. Last week was the first time he’s been healthy and he got 21 carries.
Travis Greene – Bowling Greene
Risky play, but this is a talented RB that’s not being used very much this season. Faces off against Purdue who’ve given up 189 yards per game. Greene’s not a guy you’ll want to roll in a bunch of lineups but he’s worth the risk given how cheap his price tag is.
Chris Hairston – East Carolina
I like him more in 1pt PPR formats since that’s where his upside is likely going to be. Hasn’t scored a TD in the last two weeks, so that’s kept his price tag down. Faces off against Virginia Tech who’s given up a massive 6 yards per carry and 213 rushing yards per game this season.
Dwayne Washington – Washington
More valuable in 1pt PPR formats. Only going to get a handful of rushing attempts, but he leads the team in receptions & has a knack for finding the endzone so far this season. Very risky play despite facing off against Cal who’ve struggled to stop the run this season.
