Daily College Fantasy Football RB Picks – Week 7

RB – Marion Grice – Arizona State (vs Colorado 10:00 pm – LATE)
Only 1 TD last week against Notre Dame, but still got 5 catches. He should be in tons of lineups again this week, the AZ State is a 25 point favorite and the O/U is 66.5 – You’re only downside is this gets ugly early, but he could have 2 TDs by then.

RB – Bishop Sankey – Washington (vs Oregon 4:00 PM – LATE)
THe last 2 weeks against conference opponents, Sankey had 40 carries and then 27. Last week he even had 5 catches for 21 yards. Washington is relying on him more and more. This week he goes against Oregon, which is a tough test & could have Washington more in throw-mode this game. However the game is in Washington, and you can expect the coach to rely on Sankey.

RB – Ameer Abdullah – Nebraska (at Purdue 12:00 PM – EARLY)
Ameer was fantasy gold last week, cranking out 225 rushing yards and 2 TDs. This week he faces off against another team that has trouble stopping the run. Through 5 weeks, Purdue has given up 916 rushing yards to teams. Teams are also averaging 36.6 points per game against them. The Cornhuskers will still be without their starting RB, and I expect Ameer to be the focus of their offense again this week.

RB – Lache Seastrunk – Baylor (at Kansas State 3:30 PM LATE)
Vegas has a 72 O/U on this game – and Baylor is a 17 point favorite. There should be tons of offense in this game, and that should only mean good things for Seastrunk. What I like the best about Lache, is that even though he doesn’t get tons of touches, he gets his yards in big chunks and is consistent in doing it.

RB – Mike Davis – Arkansas (vs USC 12:21 PM – THURSDAY)
This is a Thursday game, and the red flag on this game is that Vegas only has an O/U of 48 on this one. USC is is 1 score favorite, but Arkansas is at home. This actually should be a good game, but that means nothing to you since you’re here for fantasy advice. My advice with Davis would be, if he’s cheap, he’s not a bad option – just don’t expect a huge game from him this week.

RB – Melvin Gordon – Wisconsin (vs Northwestern 3:30 PM – LATE)
This guy has had some knee issues this season, but had a bye week to recover and appears to be healthy. The last time he played in week 5 he was held down by Ohio State, but goes against a much weaker opponent this time at home. On some site he might be a little cheaper and has some upside. Just double check on Saturday to make sure he plays & hold your breath.

RB – Ben Malena – Texas A&M (at Ole Miss 8:30 PM – LATE)
While Malena’s numbers on the year are not that impressive (he’s never had 100 rushing yards in a game) – he does have at least 1 TD in each of those games. This week you’re only putting him in because of his matchup. Vegas has the O/U in this game set at 75, so expect plenty of scoring from both teams. Melena’s a solid option if he’s a mid-to-low priced option on your DFS.

RB – Fitzgerald Toussaint – Michigan (at Penn State 5:00 PM – LATE)
Is listed as probable on most sites injury report so double check his injury status before you put him in the game. This is an excellent matchup for him this week, as Penn State has proven to not be very good at stopping the run – and Toussaint might get a few catches this week too. The red flag is Vegas has a smallish O/U on this game at 51 – but Michigan is basically a field goal favorite so they rate to run the ball late in this one.

RB – Tre Mason – Auburn (vs Western Carolina 2:00 PM – EARLY)
Bookies aren’t setting an O/U in this game but Auburn is a 43.5 point favorite. If you’re comfortable starting guys that should get only 2 quarters of action, this is your guy. Sometimes 2 quarters against a cupcake is better than most guys 4 quarters.

RB – Tevin Coleman – Indiana (at Michigan State 12:00 PM – EARLY)
Last week against Penn State, this guy was everywhere – getting 20 carries and had 7 receptions for 56 yards. This week however, he faces off against one of the strongest run D’s in the NCAA. Remember the name Tevin Coleman for future weeks, but you probably should sit him this week based on the matchup.

RB – Jeremy Hill – LSU (vs Florida 3:30 PM – LATE)
On some sites, Hill isn’t too expensive and it’s probably because his matchup this week sucks against Florida. The Gators have only given up 325 rushing yards to teams through 5 games. While Hill is still a solid back, I think his upside is limited based on this matchup this week.

RB’s – De’Anthony Thomas – Byron Marshall – Oregon (at Washington 4:00 PM – LATE)
Thomas practiced this week, so Marshall should be off your board if he plays. I don’t think De’Anthony will get a full load, but this is an OK matchup against a team they should be playing 4 quarters of starters against.

RB’s – Savon Huggins & Justin Goodwin (True Freshman) (vs Louisville – THURSDAY)
Last week, me and just about everyone else thought Savon Huggins was going to be the featured back after starter Paul James went down for a few weeks. However, it was the Justin Goodwin show last week – he was incredible. The Coach of Rutgers didn’t do much to clear up the situation, but you can probably expect another split week. You’re gambling in this one because who knows which one will get the most action. Here is what the coach said earlier this week: “Savon will start the game and Justin will go in for the second drive, just like we did last week, and both of those guys will play through the game.”
