Draftkings posted a Tues-Wed slate that looked pretty boring, so I’ll be focusing on the Tues-Thursday slate that is posted on Fanduel. The WR group is a bit interesting because Corey Coleman was a sure bet with Seth Russell … but can we be sure he is with Stidham? Maybe the 2nd – 4th WRs do better because they’ve worked with Stidham more, I have no idea – but it’s something worth thinking about. After that the talent level falls off a cliff pretty fast. I think I’ll use a lot of Coleman and a lot of Braverman because I plan on using both those QBs … hopefully it works out.
Northern Illinois @ Toledo (-8) 65 o/u
Ohio @ Bowling Green (-18) 65.5 o/u
Baylor (-17) @ Kansas State 69.5 o/u
Buffalo (-2.5) @ Kent State 48 o/u
Arkansas St @ App State (-11.5) 62.5 o/u
Ball St @ Western Michigan (-14.5) 63.5 o/u
Mississippi State (-7) @ Missouri 39 o/u
Nevada (-4.5) @ Fresno State 55.5 o/u
Corey Coleman – Baylor
With Russell at QB he was a near lock to deliver solid value even at this elevated price tag. Now it’s kind of a question mark honestly. I think if you can build a lineup with him and Stidham I say go for it.
Daniel Braverman – WMU
This is a well above average matchup and he’s coming off a bad week. I think you stick with him again this week and just hope the game doesn’t get out of hand.
Roger Lewis – Bowling Green
Can’t really say anything negative about his game. His receptions have dropped each week for the last 4 but he’s stayed in a tight range fantasy wise. The matchup isn’t a cupcake, but he should get plenty of targets again. I have him rated down a tick only because Ohio has only given up 6 passing TDs all season, so I worry his upside will be limited somewhat.
Jordan Williams – Ball St
Don’t think I’ve seen Ball St play this year, but this guy has been getting it done all season. At $5,300 he has a good chance at hitting value just by staying average.
Sebastian Smith – Ohio
More of a sleeper cash game pick since I don’t think he has 2+ TD upside. However, I like playing WRs that are underdogs + going against a poor pass defense. I think Smith has an above average chance to pick up some garbage time catches that can put him in that 15 – 19 fantasy point night.
Ryan Burbrink – Bowling Green
I think you can pair him with Johnson in your cash game lineups and hope he scores a TD again this week.
Corey Jones – Toledo
I’d only have him in I think if I were to play Ely. He has a shot at getting you about 3x value which would be just find for cash games.
Cody Thompson – Toledo
I don’t love his price, but it’s really because he’s priced about right for the production he’s likely to deliver. I think he makes a nice pairing with Ely if you decide to go that route at QB.
Ronnie Moore – Bowling Green
More of a tournament WR. However, seems like teams are keying in on Roger Lewis more and that is leaving more catches for Moore.
Corey Davis – WMU
He’s just a tad bit expensive for my tastes since he’d need to get you about 18 fantasy points and he hasn’t gotten that all season. But this is a good matchup and if you’re in the mood for gambling.
