Here are my daily college fantasy football Wide Receiver picks for Thursday 9/10 and Friday 9/11. There’s not a clear #1 superstar in this group, so mixing & matching will likely be your best strategy. There is lots of value, as I believe several of the mid-low priced WRs have a chance to have nice games.
Daily CFB Thurs/Fri – QB Picks
Daily CFB Thurs/Fri – RB Picks
Rashwan Scott – Miami
Not flying under the radar any being the 2nd highest priced WR on FanDuel this week, but he’s clearly the guy in Miami. The matchup against Florida Atlantic adds some upside potential to his stat line as well.
Jenson Stoshak – FLATL
Was spectacular last week with 7 catches for 114 yards and 1 TD. Should come back down to earth a bit this week against a much tougher Miami defense, however, he’s reasonably priced and you have to figure Florida Atlantic will be in throw-mode most of the second half of this game.
Trent Taylor – LA Tech
Last season the WKU was his best game with 9 catches, 113 yards and 3 TDs. I wouldn’t expect similar production, but he’s a big part of LA Tech’s offense and he’s fairly reasonably priced.
Herb Waters – Miami
If you need a minimum priced WR, Miami might be the place to go this week. Waters is listed on the depth chart as a starter, but didn’t get involved too much in a blowout win last week. Fellow WR’s Stacy Coley and Braxton Berrios are listed as Day-to-Day. Don’t expect a massive stat line, but for minimum price, Waters should come through with some production this week.
Taywan Taylor – WKU
Last season against LA Tech, Taylor had 4 catches for 77 yards and 1 TD. Last week, Taylor had an uneventful stat line with 3 catches for 40 yards. WKU will spread the ball around, so upside really will happen only if Taylor gets a TD.
Antwane Grant – WKU
As with all WKU receivers, I like them more in 1pt PPR formats since the ball gets spread around that it will be tough for one guy to really go off.
Paul Turner – LA Tech
Last season against WKU, Turner had 9 receptions for 84 yards and 1 TD. The ball was really spread around during LA Tech’s first game, so I’d expect similar things. Considering Turner is under average salary, he doesn’t need tons of production to provide some value. Fellow WR Carlos Henderson has been hampered by wearing a soft cast and could be limited somewhat for another week.
Nicholas Norris – WKU
If you need a minimum priced WR, Norris isn’t a bad option as he rates to get some looks.
Jared Dangerfield – WKU
$7,200 – FanDuel
Lots of grinders got burned by this guy. He did drop a for-sure TD, and at least 2 other passes from what I saw. He’s still overrated by FanDuel as WKU will spread the ball around to multiple receivers. Dangerfield is also nagged by a hamstring injury last week – so I think based on performance & high salary … I’d look to avoid Dangerfield this week.
