Here are the guys I like this week at Running Back.
Here are my Week 9 QB Picks if you need some
And here are our Week 9 WR picks too.
If you enjoy our picks, consider signing up and testing out our picks on one of these sites.
Ka’Deem Carey – at Colorado
I picked the QB in this game as a decent cheaper option, and Carey is basically the most expensive RB on just about every daily fantasy site this week. His matchup is wonderful, but I wouldn’t call it pure butter. I’m not sure there is a ton of upside here considering he had 40 carries last week, but if you can save money elsewhere – he’s a top pick this week.
Bishop Sankey – vs Cal
Great matchup, and I’d rank him over Ka’Deem, except his team is such a huge favorite (28) that I think his upside is going to be limited to 3 quarters at most. His coach will probably try to get him numbers this game – as he had a bad week last time he played. Green light.
Byron Marshall – vs UCLA
Looks like De’Anthony Thomas is out again this week and if that is true – green light for Marshall. O/U is an incredible 72.5 with Oregon being a 23 point favorite. If you don’t have Marshall in your lineup, find someone to put in from this game.
Lache Seastrunk – at Kansas
Baylor is a massive 35 point favorite – so Lache will have to get busy on what will probably be less than 15 carries. He’s been able to do it in the past, but I think your happy if he gets 2 TDs and 100 yards despite it being a super easy matchup.
Tyler Gaffney – at Oregon St.
On some sites Gaffney is in the top 10 priced running backs … he’s in a matchup where it might be a shootout, so I’m not sure if I like him for that price. However, on this site he’s only $5,750 which is low considering how well he’s played recently.
Ameer Abullah – at Minnesota
Looking at the stats, the Golden Gophers 864 rushing yards through 7 weeks, and that’s not all that bad. The O/U in this game is only 52 so that’s 2 red-flags. Abdullah is doing great this season, and Nebraska is only a 10 point favorite so they should be running all game.
Mike Davis – at Missouri
Kinda hate his matchup this week. He’s one of the more expensive backs and should get touches, but his team could fall behind more than Vegas thinks.
Dallas Crawford & Duke Johnson – vs Wake Forest
Duke got knocked out of last weeks game, but appears to be fine and will play this week. The interesting thing is that Dallas has 2 TDs in each of the last 4 games … and had 33 carries for 137 last week filling in for Duke. Miami is a 24 point favorite in this one, leading me to think that Johnson should get looks again in this one, but they might limit his carries later on. I think I sit Duke, but if Dallas is cheap (he’s only $4,750 on this site) he’s not a bad option if you’re down to barely any money at the end.
Storm Johnson – vs Connecticut
Not the most consistent player, and that worries you especially when they get less than 20 carries. His matchup this week cannot be denied because his team is a 23 point favorite.
T.J. Yeldon – vs Tennessee
This guy makes me nervous, but he can produce at a high level. He doesn’t get very many touches but usually gets a TD. Alabama is a big favorite in this one, so he should get you a TD, but I’m not sure his upside is more than that.
