We are getting into that time of year where you need to check the weather reports (just to be safe) on your key players because you don’t want to get stuck with someone playing in a downpour.
Bryce Petty – at Oklahoma State
Massive 78 O/U with Baylor favored by 10. That’s good. Back-to-back 5 total TD games. That’s good too. Oklahoma State, about mid-tier passing D. Only thing is he’s on the road, but he should have another solid week.
Johnny Football – at LSU
Big time 71.5 O/U in this one, and it’s supposed to be a close game. Johnny is going on the road but he’s going to be responsible for a huge portion of the offense. Only problem is he’s the most expensive QB, so you’re going to have to cut back everywhere else.
Braxton Miller – vs Indiana
Big … I mean BIG 82 O/U in this one, and Ohio State is 35 point favorite. Rushed for 184 yards last week, but should be trying to rack up some passing yards in this one too.
Marcus Mariota – at Arizona
I think he’s still a little gimpy from a knee injury, as his rushing yards have been non-existent. But appears to be ready to rock this week.
Garrett Gilbert – at South Florida
I have a $20 side-bet this guy gets drafted into the NFL next year. Right now he’s a long-shot but we’ll see. Anyway, the O/U in this game isn’t very high, just 55.5 but it’s supposed to be a close game. Gilbert has 3 straight games with no INTs and last time out he had 4 TDs.
Jameis Winston – vs Idaho
Might want to check the police blotter before you start him, but this is a buttery type matchup for him. 57 point favorite … so he probably gets taken out, but he could shut-up some of the media with 4 TDs … or it could be a distraction against a cupcake.
Aaron Murray – vs Kentucky
Georgia is about a 3 score favorite and Kentucky only has 1 INT all season against QBs. Murray has been a steady mid-priced QB almost all season.
Connor Shaw – vs Coastal Carolina
Should be a value play on most sites, but is somewhat risky. Has gotten crushed when he faces a good team, but this week his team is a 34 point favorite. Not a bad cheaper QB that you can pair with a more for-sure expensive QB in 2 QB leagues.
Brendon Kay – at Houston
Has been rising up the ranks recently and plays a cupcake pass-defense this week. Had 4 TDs on the road last week against Rutgers, so that’s a good sign he could do well again this week on the road.
P.J. Walker – vs Connecticut
Has come on big lately, and faces an OK defense this week, but nothing special. O/U is only 51 and PJ’s team is about a 1 TD favorite.
