NBA opening night only features three games. You might have to sprinkle in some sleepers into your daily lineup to try and get a win.
Orlando at Indiana
Chicago at Miami
Clippers at Lakers
Steve Blake – Lakers $3,700 – Draft Kings
Has had a decent pre-season and will get some run during the game. Chris Paul could get Steve Nash into foul trouble which would open up minuets for Blake.
Mario Chalmers – Heat $4,200 – Draft Kings
Obviously isn’t going to get a whole lot of touches with LeBron James, Wade, Chris Bosh and others in Miami. But he should provide around 10 points some assists and rebounds.
Nick Young – Lakers $4.500 – Draft Kings
Good or bad, he’ll get some shots up. If he has it going he can get 20 points. Could be a high scoring 1st game against the Clippers. Is also eligible as a SF in most daily leagues.
Lance Stephenson – $4,200 Draft Kings
With Danny Granger out, Stephenson steps into the starting lienup much like he did last season with Granger out. He should give you a nice balance of Rebounds, Assists and a few baskets at this price.
Aaron Afflalo $5,700 – Draft Kings
A consistent player when he plays, and it appears that he is healthy and ready to go at the start of the season. A good source of point and assists at this price.
Maurice Harkless – $4,900 Draft Kings
The Magic might be missing a few pieces on opening nights (Tobias Harris) and if that’s the case, Harkless is a solid start at this price. He’s a source of steals, blocks and a few baskets if you play him.
Taj Gibson – Bulls $5,200 – Draft Kings
If Joakim Noah misses the first game, Gibson could get the starting nod. He’s had a productive pre-season and can be a source of rebounds and about 15 points. Check Noah’s status before the game and if he’s out it might be wise to save some money and get Gibson in. Is also eligible at Center in most leagues.
DeAndre Jordan – Clippers $5,400
If he gets lucky he can be very productive. Will vanish during some games, but I have a feeling he’ll come out playing hard against the Lakers.
