Well Saturday saw me with another minimal profit, but it’s still a profit.
Thanks to Mike Trout, Adam Jones & Nomar Mazara.
Last Night’s Stat’s
Contests Played: 3
Total Stake: $2.25
Paid places: 1
Onto Sunday and here’s the first team I’ll be playing.
P Danny Salazar (CLE) $9,000
His strikeouts look good, and coming off of a 23.2 point outing last time.
P Julio Teheran (ATL) $10,000
An ERA of 3.12 and WHIP of 1.02 make Teheran a smart play.
C Russell Martin (TOR) $3,200
Martin is as good a choice as any at catcher for the salary.
1B Hanley Ramirez (BOS) $4,000
Against Graveman he’s 1 for 3 with a double, last 7 days he’s 10 for 23.
2B DJ LeMahieu (COL) $5,000
LeMahieu is hitting .342 for the year, and in Coors Field a solid pick.
3B Kris Bryant (CHC) $5,000
36 homers and a .305 average make Bryant a good play at third.
SS JJ Hardy (BAL) $2,700
Facing Pineda he is 9 for 18 with 3 home runs.
OF Kole Calhoun (LAA) $3,500
Against Iwakuma he is 8 for 30 with two homers.
OF AJ Pollock (ARI) $3,600
Coming back from injury and doing quite well, also at Coors Field so chances for long ball points.
OF Justin Upton (DET) $4,000
Agianst Volquez he is 10/23 with 4 doubles & a home run.
Realistically I don’t expect a HR from everybody, but it has to happen to come #1 and this team matches up quite well. It’s not stacked and each player has the potential for double digit points.
This team could easily see 4 home Runs and have two quality starts from its pitching. My hope would be 140 points.
