Only 1 team played last night, and every player scored me points, but my total was jokingly low.
Last Night’s Stat’s
Contests Played: 1
Total Stake: $1.00
Paid places: 0
With only 7 games today and it’s only 6 tonight there’s less options to choose from, and that means team ownership of every player will be high.
What to look for?
David Paulino – Houston Astro’s
Makes his debut in the early game, It’s at home against the Indians and I’d try to capitalize on him getting 1st night nerves.
Alec Asher – Philadelphia Phillies
Only 7 games before today and he’s only really had 1 good outing. Facing the Nationals in Washington and entering with a 9.31 ERA I’d play a couple of Nationals in this one.
Onto my team.
P AJ Cole (WSH) $8,300
Last time out he went 6 innings for only 1 run allowed against the Mets. Only Asdrubal Cabrera looked good against him. And after last night where Strasburg only managed 2 & a third the Nationals will probably leave Cole in on any 50/50 calls to pull him.
P CC Sabathia (NYY) $8,700
Sabathia has faced the Rays a lot obviously and there are a few hitters who he’ll have to focus on, Longoria is 28/70 with 7 dingers off of him.
The Rays are at the bottom or in the middle of all the batting statistics so you should see a nice return from Sabathia on DK.
C Evan Gattis (HOU) $4,100
He is 1/6 against Bauer but that one hit was a home run.
1B Joey Votto (CIN) $4,900
Votto is 2/8 with a HR against Nova, Votto’s .312 average for the year is really good considering the bad start he had although he hasn’t go yard since August 29th.
2B Matt Carpenter (STL) $4,400
Against Guerra he is 3/3 with a double. With 18 home runs so far he’ll be hoping to get as close to 28 which was last year’s total.
3B Jose Ramirez (CLE) $4,500
Obviously hasn’t faced Paulino before, Hitting .308 for the season he has been an integral part of the Indians rise this year.
SS Brad Miller (TB) $3,700
A bit strange to pick an opponent to a selected pitcher, however Miller has been really good for the Rays. He is only 3/23 this month but he has 26 homers so far this year.
OF Ian Desmond (TEX) $4,100
Against Walker is 2/6, 7/26 with 3 doubles & a triple this past 7 days.
OF Nomar Mazara (TEX) $3,700
Against Walker is 1/3 with a double, he already has 2 HR’s in September.
OF Jose Peraza (CIN) $3,500
Hitting .347 for the season, his power numbers are low but multi hit ball games help a fantasy team more than you’d think.
Remaining Budget: $100
I’ll probably play 3-4 team all trying to capitalize on young pitching. With half the teams playing I think 120 points will place you.
