My strategy for week 3 of the daily college football season is to keep it simple.
#1 – Find the high over/under matchups
#2 – Make sure I have at least a few of these players on my roster come Saturday because these will be the high scoring games of the weekend.
#3 – Rub money on titties
Eastern Washington Eagles at Toledo Rockets
Favorite: Toledo Rockets -6.5
Last week Toledo lost to Missouri 23-38. Eastern Washington beat Western Oregon 43-14
Toledo RB – David Fluellen
Had 27 total touches in week 2 (10 catches)
Eastern Washington QB – Vernon Adams
Had 411 Yards Passing with 4 TD’s last week. 5 TD’s week 1.
Tennessee Volunteers at Oregon Ducks
Favorite: Oregon -28
Oregon QB – Marcus Mariota
Has 3 Rushing and 3 Passing TD’s on the season. Has been pulled early due to blowouts.
Oregon RB – De’Anthony Thomas
Has 5 Rushing TD’s this season. Downside is he is not used much in passing game.
UCLA Bruins at Nebraska Cornhuskers
Favorite: Nebraska -4
Nebraska QB: Taylor Martinez
6 TD’s through 2 weeks.
Nebraska RB: Ameer Abdullah
Gets the bulk of the carries, but still is splitting carries.
Marshall Thundering Herd at Ohio Bobcats
Favorite: Marshall -8
Marshall QB – Rakeem Cato
This QB has seven total TD’s through 2 weeks. Marshall has scored 50+ points in both games.
Marshall RB – Steward Butler
Had 3 TD’s in week 1, but none in week 2. Has over 100 yards in both games.
Marshall WR – Tommy Shuler
Has a TD catch in each of the last 2 games. Had 9 catches last game.
Ole Miss Rebels at Texas Longhorns
Favorite: Texas -3
Texas was upset by BYU last weekend.
Texas QB – David Ash – HE’S HURT DON’T PLAY HIM
Has 7 total TD’s and is a passing/throwing threat.
Texas WR – Mike Davis
This 6′-2″ senior has at least 1 TD catch in the last 2 weeks.
Texas WR – Jaxon Shipley
Has 13 total catches but no TD’s through 2 weeks.
Ole Miss WR – Laquon Treadwell
This Freshman has 11 catches for 109 yards (no TD’s) through 2 weeks.
Ohio State Buckeyes at California Golden Bears
Favorite: Ohio State -15.5
Ohio State QB Braxton Miller is injured and may not play.
Ohio State QB – Kenny Guiton
If Braxton Miller doesn’t play, this is a solid mid-priced QB play.
Ohio State RB – Jordan Hall
Gets almost all the touches at RB except when the QB runs.
Ohio State WR – Devin Smith
Has 10 catches with 1 TD for only 107 yards through week 2.
Ohio State WR – Corey Brown
Has 8 catches with 2 TD’s through 2 weeks
Cal QB – Jared Goff
Has attempted 115 passes through 2 weeks. More than any NFL QB.
Cal WR – Bryce Treggs
Had 8 catches week 1 and 13 catches week 2 – no TD’s yet.
Cal WR – Chris Harper
Had 11 catches for 148 and 2 TD’s last week.
This week has some good matchups, including some games with a high o/u but low point spread. The Cal vrs Ohio State games proves to be an interesting game for daily fantasy players. Cal will be behind in the game, and their QB has been throwing the ball almost every down. Oregon has another cupcake matchup this week so their starters will more than likely be pulled again.
Last bit of advice, check the salaries on this site for College Football this week …. they have some players priced too low, and I think you can take advantage of your competition.
